So.. you finally spent the night with your date. You wake up in the morning only to find your skin is as dry as the Sahara desert, yet, this dude has no body lotion. What do you do? So you tiptoe to his kitchen cabinet and pray he has some olive oil please do not end up using cooking oil. Get yourself in the shower have a shower and make sure your skin is damp when you get out of the shower. Now take a bit of the oil and apply sparingly all over your body. The water helps the oil spread evenly without applying it on too thick. You come out of the bathroom ten minutes later with delicate supple skin and hop back into bed. Perhaps for round two….
So you forgot to bring your lipstick or blusher and on your way to a meeting. But you are in the middle of nowhere. If you can get hold of a pomegranate or pomegranate juice (concentrated type preferably) a dab of this with your dainty little finger on your cheeks or lips will come to the rescue.
Forgot your rollers and curling iron at home. And you do not want to waste your hard earned money doubling up by repurchasing something you know you already have at home. Well, cut some strips of newspaper or paper towels and wrap your hair damp around them. You may need hairspray for hold or a hair dryer to speed the drying process. If you like you can just tie a scarf over or use a pair of stockings to hold them in place while drying. To make them bigger. You can roll the newspaper around some paper towels or crushed paper to create a bigger rolling rod.
Forgot your socks at home or had sweaty feet. A bit of talcum powder in your shoe or on your feet could help keep them nice and fresh at least until you get your socks back.
5. Press on Nails
This one sounds obvious. However, this is something every glamour puss should carry with her everywhere in case of emergency for that last minute date. Remember you gotta, “show your best to be your best!”
6. Coffee, Salt or Sugar
These three things come to the rescue when you need to prepare a quick homemade scrub. Sugar or salt can be mixed with some olive oil to create a quick rescue scrub. Coffee grains can be used as is just add some water as you scrub it all over your body to remove that dry, dead skin. A bonus using a coffee scrub is that caffeine also helps your blood circulation and in return, helps attack your cellulite.
7. Coconut oil
With all it’s rave reviews recently it is no wonder coconut oil is also being proclaimed as an excellent rescue remedy. This is a great hair conditioner for days when you run out. The great thing about coconut oil is it shampoos out easily. You can also use it as a deep conditioning treatment. Apply liberally to washed damp hair then, put a shower cap, plastic bag or plain old surround wrap over your head and you are ready to go.
8. Baking Soda can be used by itself as a tooth whitener, but you could also mix a bit of coconut oil in to get the extra antibacterial effects of the coconut oil. Coconut oil helps to get rid of any plaque that may be building up in your mouth. This is great for an emergency whitening pick me up.
9. Egg white and avocado.
When in need of a face mask to help your skin look extra luminous. Mix egg white with smashed avocado and apply to your face. For additional deep penetration take some surround wrap cut holes in the eye, mouth, and nose areas and let it lie on your face. This allows the product to soak deep into your skin. Rinse with warm water and moisturize.
10. Sticky Tape,
If you are really desperate to pull your tummy in and forgot your waist trainer, Sellotape may just do the trick. Preferably the packaging type!! I do not advise putting this directly on your skin but instead, put on a thin vest underneath and then carefully and systematically wrap the tape around your waist layering and tightening as you go along. This will help create a nice tight, snatched waist. The tape will not stick to your skin cause you have the vest protecting between your skin and the tape.
